Tickets for EVE Russia - Moscow 2020 on 13 -14 June are now live, so what better way to celebrate EVE's Russian player community than to get together right after Russia Day?
If last year's EVE Russia event in St. Petersburg is anything to go by, they're gonna sell out fast, so make sure you don't miss out! The event will take place at the Centre Hall in Moscow.
Tickets for EVE Russia - Moscow 2020 are 2000 rubles, which covers both days of the event, and that also includes an EVE Russia T-shirt and more goodies for attendees. Food and drink will be available for purchase at the venue
This will be the biggest and most ambitious EVE Russia event yet, featuring presentations, CCP CEO Hilmar Veigar Pétursson and many EVE Online developers in attendance, roundtables, an Art Corner, the 'Friendship" river cruise, party and more!
Saturday 13 June will be the main day for presentations, followed by an amazing party, then Sunday 14 June will be focused on letting the players interact with Devs during specific activities such as an Art Corner, roundtables and then a river cruise in the evening. Tickets for the river cruise will be made available at a later date.
There's no time to waste, so grab your tickets and see you there!
Back in January, we reported that the transition to a 64-bit client was complete and we would be deprecating the 32-bit client on Wednesday, 26th February.
As of today, users will be unable to launch the 32-bit version of EVE and must use the 64-bit version of the game. If you have previously manually selected the 32-bit client in the launcher, you will be automatically moved back to the 64bit version of the client, provided your system supports 64-bit.
The move to a single 64-bit client will reduce the development time associated with maintaining two clients, while allowing further investment into the technical infrastructure of EVE Online.
While the 64-bit client has been in use by the vast majority of our players, if you experience any issues, please file a bug report.
We are conducting a mass test on the Singularity test server this Thursday, 27 February at 17:00 UTC (EVE time).
Come and help us test the exciting new Frigate Escape Bay which will be making its way to Tranquility soon!
Please monitor this thread for information about the test as more details will be added to it shortly. It also includes links to information about connecting to the Singularity test server to take part.
All participants will receive a small reward of two million skill points on Singularity.
You can now get two brand new and stunning SKINs for your Gila, a popular ship for Abyssal Deadspace runs, from EVE Online's New Eden Store! The Abyssal Exostorm and Abyssal Darkfield SKINs are available in store, so why not go ahead and complete your set of Abyssal weather SKINs?
In addition to that, the Forces of the Abyss SKIN bundle is available for 1365 PLEX, featuring the Abyssal Firestorm, Abyssal Afterglow, Abyssal Thunderstorm, Abyssal Exostorm and Abyssal Darkfield SKINs. This represents a 30% saving on the total price of the five SKINs in the bundle!
Thank you, valiant pilots, for your support and understanding throughout the recent DDoS attacks. The fortitude shown by New Eden's finest in the face of adversity is both inspiring and deeply appreciated.
As compensation for the playing time lost as a result of the recent DDoS attacks, you will be given the Capsuleer Fortitude Reward. Alpha Capsuleers will receive 100,000 Skill Points as a login reward, and Omega Capsuleers will receive the same Alpha reward, plus 250,000 more to bring their total to 350,000 Skill Points.
You can claim your Capsuleer Fortitude Reward between Monday 24 February downtime and Monday 9 March downtime.
Fly safe and fly proud!
During the Naughty or Nice winter holiday event, New Eden was introduced to the exciting reindeer-themed jump Filaments that were capable of catapulting fleets from anywhere in space to random Nullsec systems. This had the delightful effect of pitting Capsuleer fleets against each other in unexpected (for some) combat! The good news is, these Filaments are now returning to New Eden permanently and will be available as early as Thursday, 27 February!
There will be six variations of the new Needlejack Filaments, capable of moving up to 5, 15 or 25 players into a random Nullsec system upon activation. Some of the Needlejack Filaments will be available in a fully built state and will drop in exploration data sites, while others can be manufactured from BPCs. Some will even be distributed exclusively through upcoming events.
Once you get your hands on these jump Filaments, you can once again yeet your fleet directly into some action. Happy hunting, Capsuleers!
It’s time to let you in on a new feature that will be arriving in late March as part of the Fight or Flight Quadrant, the Frigate Escape Bay.
The Frigate Escape Bay is a special bay capable of holding a single, fitted Frigate that will be added to all Battleships. Should the Battleship be destroyed, instead of being ejected in your capsule and left helpless, you will launch immediately back into combat aboard your Frigate!
The Frigate hulls that will be allowed to be stored in the bay are: - All T1 Frigates - Assault Frigates - Electronic Attack Frigates - Logistics Frigates
This change will shake up the Battleship meta of EVE Online and open up new and exciting tactical options for crafty players to use! It can also give Capsuleers a chance to stay in the fight longer... unless you opt to use your nimble ship to escape from the battlefield and leave your fleetmates to their fate!
Fight or Flight - the choice is yours.
What is even more exciting is the fact that the Frigate Escape Bay will be available for testing on Singularity next Monday! Go ahead, try them out and share your thoughts in the official forum thread.
It's that time of year where showing affection and appreciation is important, so what better time to show your additional EVE Online accounts some love and grab one month of Omega for them at 25% off until 11:00 UTC on 19 February! Use the opportunity to start playing EVE the right way!
If you are not currently an Omega, you can upgrade and get 1 month of Omega at 15% off, and still be eligible to upgrade your additional accounts to Omega using the 25% discount.
Playing EVE Online with multiple accounts means that you can have more than one character logged into the game simultaneously, and more accounts mean more skill training. This allows you to highly specialize characters on different accounts for particular roles, especially if all accounts are Omega. You can then fly both characters together in-game during a fight and salvage operation, one can haul goods while the other runs missions, or you could have one scout dangerous star systems for the other!
Upgrading to Omega takes your EVE experience to the next level, unlocking all 350+ ships, all skills, an infinite skill queue and double training speed, plus unlimited access to Planetary Interaction and the contracts system.
If you are currently Alpha or do not currently have an additional account and would like to make use of the offer, you can create a new account today and you will be eligible for the upgrade offer at downtime the day after!
Get the new Heartsurge SKINs from EVE Online's New Eden Store and show your Confessor, Dramiel, Cynabal - and more - some love! Act fast, this SKIN will only be available until 11:00 UTC on 25 February. <3
The Heartsurge SKIN is available on the following hulls:
There are various bundle options for the Heartsurge SKINs available with a 10% discount.
We’re also bringing back the Eros Blossom Firework and Cherubic Heartburst Firework in store to celebrate this loving season further!
Plus, to celebrate the From Wormholes With Love update, there are SKIN offers on several of the most popular hulls for wormhole exploration, including covert ops SKINs, SOE One Eden SKINs and more! These offers run from 11:00 on 11 February until 11:00 on 18 February.
And be aware - at downtime on 18 February we will be rotating out a few SKIN lines and apparel items. The following SKIN lines and apparel will be disappearing from the store:
So don't miss this chance to pick up those items - they may not return for some time!
As a part of the February 2020 release, we will be extending the daily downtime on Tuesday, 11 February.
Downtime will begin at the standard time of 11:00 UTC and will take up to 30 minutes. We expect Tranquility to be back online accepting connections after 11:30 UTC.
